| Bequests and
Endowments Financial stability is one
of the greatest challenges confronting arts
organizations. Bequests, Endowments and
Charitable Gift Planning help to provide a
consistent, reliable source of annual income to
assist the Clemens Center in ensuring that the
tradition of excellence in the performing arts
continues for future generations in our region.
Your tax-deductible contribution will have an
impact on the Clemens Center this year, next
year and into the future!
Bequests to charitable organizations often
result in significant tax benefits and can be an
important part of a sound estate plan. As you
plan your will or trust, simply including the
Clemens Center can have a great impact on our
future, and entitles you to exclusive membership
in the Clemens Society - a special group of
friends who have made a commitment to the
Clemens Center and to the cultural life of this
region for years to come.
Consider making a tax-deductible donation to
the Clemens Center's two Restricted Funds:
Josephine Walsh Zurenda Endowment Fund or the
Samuel Clemens Sustainers Fund. Whether given as
a memorial, honor or simply a desire to secure
the future of the performing arts in our region,
these monies are invested and the earnings
provide the Clemens Center with a reliable
source of annual operating income.
There are other methods of Charitable Gift
Planning, such as a gift Annuity. Donors who
choose this method of support for the Clemens
Center contribute appreciated properties,
including stocks and bonds, in exchange for
dividend or interest payments, or a guaranteed
or fixed annuity payment for a defined term,
usually the life of the donor. See your
financial advisor or insurance agent for more
details. Also, your Life Insurance Policy can
list the Clemens Center as its beneficiary.
Plus, should you choose to name the Clemens
Center as both the beneficiary and the owner,
the gifts to the Clemens Center to cover premium
costs are tax-deductible. See your insurance
agent for more information.
The Clemens Center is a private,
not-for-profit corporation. Contributions are
tax-deductible, as recognized by the Internal
Revenue Service designation 501(c)(3). Please
consult your tax advisor for more information.
